I really dislike Luke Beveridge. How is he not under more pressure. Are the board scared he’ll give them all a Glasgow kiss if they fire him.
He took a club that only made two grand finals in over a century to two grand finals in five years.
He gets a lot of grace from the board because of that. The same effect will happen (rightly or wrongly) to whichever Essendon coach eventually wins a final.

Must admit, I had forgotten 2021. They did get thumped though.
Never finished higher than 5th. Besides the GF appearances, they are 0/6 in finals.
He’s not that good of a coach and they GF appearances are arguably on the back of luck (read umpiring) and superstars pulling them out of the fire or non-superstars having one off game changing performances.
Add to all that is that he’s a massive wanker.

The irony of them relying on us to do them a favour to make finals is not lost on me after their president’s shitfarkery to help the AFL crucify us during the saga.

He did ■■■■ all wrong this year. A couple of close games go the other way they’re 16-6 and probably playing a prelim
Still find him a massive tool and extremely happy with the situation.
just as bigger irony for me is the fact that this side beat us across 2 games by a combined 180 odd points, and now they rely on us to win to make finals, having not won for 3 odd months.
