IMO Moore is finished.
Yay a bunch of 30 year olds which includes some injury prone players that would fit in well with the Essington rehab ward.
@Bombers2013 pls
Back from injury and another year older…
1 more year.
One of them guaranteed to be BOG next Anzac game
…his Anzac Day speech?
Is next season the year of the cliff? Or the season after…or the season after that one or the…..
Just signed Hogan so they must think the window is still open.
At least not many teeth were available to be knocked out
A little late, but with Hogan the Pies have finally picked up a replacement for Mihocek.
not yet…..
It also means they now have a Hogan and a Schultz, missing only a Klink for the trifecta.
Hogan
Membry
Elliot
Very old forward line. Schulz adds very little as well
McStays 31 as well
That’s the other one.
I know they are getting Neale for free and they wont have trouble getting more FA, but at the end of the day the finished 9th and thats with daicos having a season and a half.
Yes he will be able to do it again but Pendles and sidebottom were still important to them and the others whi are over 28 are now a year older and not performing anymore.
There are also a couple of pieces of their defence who are not only getting older but becoming injury prone, Moore and Howe for instance.
2026 footy is a game for old seasoned players. That’s why McCrae is happy to top up with these cheap older guys.
Feel like every year we note that pies or Geelong are approaching the cliff…then they go on and play finals…often into a prelim.
Reckon the old risky list, is less risky then the younger high potential list these days.
They’ll be top 6 next year i think
Eventually their time will come, like it did for Richmond, where they have a season like they did in 2023 where it showed that their ceiling at best was 7th or 8th and they need to start again. Replacing Pendles with Neale is an upgrade given Neale is still a top player whereas Pendles is well past his best. Hogan is another 30+ guy they will bring in. But Moore is just about done, Howe is 37 next year. Will still be a wildcard team, which let’s face it you’re not a genuine challenger.
Nah. It happened this year. The cliff came. Daicos is the only one keeping them competitive.
