Season 2026 - Hawthorn

The loss to GWS galvanised them a bit. After that game the media beat up was all about them needing Merrett and that failed trade was going to cost them. Over the last two weeks they have then gone out and shown everyone that they don’t need him. They responded well to that noise.

Hopefully we come out and show some fight this weekend also, not just continue to give “happy to be there” vibes.

I think the Dogs will def have them sal.
And as the season goes .. GC and even GWS will bullock them.

Detest them but you have to keep beating and bury them right down to the final minute.

respect ..

Now I know you can’t be throwing Coke bottles at players but there must be Nick Watson exemption.

There just must be…

I believe the coke should be kept in your pocket whilst you ride scissor lifts. Then all is above board.

clearly they confused a man of his height and head with a recycling bin

whorks beat sydney away from home who had 62.73% of their midfield out injured. even we beat swans playing without gulden last year.
whorks won’t be top 4 and they did completely botch that trade as their outlook would be very different with Zack. when it matters, they’ll get smashed in the midfield by dogs, lions, the Glorious Gold Coasters, and probably even cats and freo.

There is a wider implication at play. That is players getting into the face of opposition players and supporters when they kick a goal. Its boorish behaviour.

Here we go, Mitch goes into a game without his first and second bananas up forward. An interesting look at what the future holds without old Gunners.

They’ve still got Lewis, and Calsher Dear is a good young KP forward to bring in.

They’ll eviscerate Port.

I think they are GF certainties, it’s just a matter of if they can beat Brisbane on the day

Mate…you’ve been warned about using this word before.

There are no certainties in football.

Anything can happen on Prelim Final night, and that’s assuming the Hawks even make it that far.

There are plenty of very good sides.

when they make the GF, i will post stallions gif myself

there really isn’t that many very good sides in it

Geelong- yep they are still very good

Brisbane- yep, they are the best team in the comp

Bulldogs- they are good. But I don’t think they are anywhere near as good people think. They have very little depth. Soon as injuries hit, they are screwed

Freo- good team, but nowhere near the level of the top teams

Sydney- they are good, but if curnow and heeney don’t fire- they are cooked

Gold Coast are home bullies- they aren’t winning finals in melbourne come finals time

so i say again

CERTAINTIES!!!

They certainly can make the GF, and it’s no secret I rate them.

I also make no secret that I hate the word “certainties” in football.

Pretty sure you were called out on this type of thing 2 years ago with Carlton.

Anyhow, it’s not worth us arguing about, as we both rate the Hawks as a legit Contender.

Clearly the Dons would have accounted for your second team yesterday. That midfield outside of Duke does not even remotely inspire the notion of ‘certainty’. And now we have petulance creeping in with the Captain leading the way.

Yer, they’re really struggling at 5 and 1.

They’re certainly not eviscerating ..

Been keeping an eye on them a bit closer this year thanks to a couple of our locals getting drafted there and geez Schubert is killing it in the VFL. Didn’t have his kicking boots on this weekend get geez he is looking pretty damn good and wonder if he will get a shot in the league team this year

Freo powered away in the end tonight. Scoreboard flattered Mitch’s mob, Dockers wayward in front of goals, probably should have won by 5 or 6 goals.

Old Gunners once again their best by a long way up forward, bit of a worry. Meek, Reeves, Ramsden all too cumbersome.
