Any Melbourne team playing GWS here should just play it at their training base.
Tassie has Hawthorn vs Demons next week. (I asked junior if he wanted to go, but the answer was no, Hawthorn suck)
And they also had the Crows game, these would have drawn a lot better in Melbourne given where these clubs are on the ladder, may have attracted a few neutrals.
But I guess for the Hawks it does give them a handy home ground advantage compared to playing Demons on their home deck at the G.
Junior Houli is an excellent judge of character, obviously the result of good parenting.
If they make the GF against Freo or swans, they are doing them easily.
Only Lions or Cats will beat them here
Still need to make the GF, which I dont think they will
they are GF certainties imo. Whether they win it all, who knows
The first half was embarrassing for Mitch against Melbourne. Clearly demonstrated why they will be struggling to match it with the better teams. They desperately need to get on top of relying on an ageing Gunners to win them games. Will be lucky to win a Final this year. Imagine if FC roll them next week…
If they make the gf, they will win it unless the are playing Brisbane and they dont need to peak now, but they would want to turn things around in next 2-3 weeks
They wouldn’t even get past Sydney. Warner, Gulden, Heeney, Papley etc would just carve them up
this is their window year and they farked it up with an arrogant take it or leave it offer to get zack, whilst trading down their first pick.
They wouldn’t be in any different position than they are now with Merrett in their team. They have deficiencies in other areas but sadly I still feel they are more than capable of finishing top 4 and have a solid enough list to remain around the mark for a few more years
I think you’re right as usual ewok
Cursory look at the list and there are red flags. The age of the big guns next year like Gunners 35, Impey 32, Sis 32, Barass 31, Amon, Hardwick Chol 30 is a big concern. Lewis is inconsistent, the mids outside Newk and maybe Day are all pretty vanilla. Even then Day is only a big knock to his shoulder out for the year. Newk is showing signs of carrying the midfield on his shoulders all too much.
Then there’s Bambi languishing in the VFL who doesn’t look like he’ll be on the list next year. Schubert is showing a bit, but well and truly early days. Ramsden is one l think could find a home somewhere else if they persist with Meek and Reeves.
stander, you can’t assess their midfield without acknowledging that young rising star
HENRY the hustler HUSTWAITE
if you mean ladder position, I’ll guess we’ll never know. but a midfield with day, newk & zack would give them the quality to launch a much better shot at a flag.
They got greedy thinking they could force a Zach trade through below value.
Haha look at these dumb carnts sitting in the top 4. Sucks to be them. Meanwhile, don’t criticise us, we are tracking beautifully.
Yep that’s what we were saying. We’re better than them and our club is perfect and beyond awesome.
Well, you responded as if that’s what we said.

Are you fair dinkum? I didn’t realise that mob, and especially that mob after being thrashed by the Demons were immune from any level of criticism just because Essendon Football Club are languishing at the bottom.
Is the ground under renovations? Less than 10k there?
I dont think Hawthorn’s window is this year and thats it, sure they lose Gunston and Sicily is on the wrong side but I think they have enough young players to still be top 4-6 next year as well.
Hopefully @Houli_Dooley is happy with your comforting assessment
Dooley’s love for Hawthorn is frankly sickening ![]()
