Serie A/La Liga/Bundesliga/Other Euro Leagues

United gave up a couple of goals early at home but braces to Cavani and Fernandes has United up 4-2 in the 75th. United really have dominated the game so far, another goal should almost do it.
Villareal had a 2-0 lead over Arsenal but the Gunners have just pulled 1 back

At work can’t watch, now 5-2, WTF

And Pogba makes it 5-2
4 goals in the second half for United

Giving up 2 away goals wasn’t good but if we keep a 3 goal buffer going into second leg then it makes up for it.

Finished 6-2, take that every day.

Absolute domination and score pretty much reflects the state of play

So Solskjaer has finally got through to a major final as Man U manager. Well done!

He certainly seems the right man for the job now. Just need to take that extra step to the League title.

Great win.

As I’ve said before, … can you imagine where we’d be if we played both halves??

#Sack Ole.

We played pretty well in the first half, just gave up a couple of softish goals but the intent was still there.
We need some silverware to show for the season even if it is only this.
Hopefully we can cut more deadwood and bring in some players to really push for a title now

Really hope we can find a way to keep Cavani in England, and keep him for another year at least.

He’s playing like he’s 25 again, and clearly loving playing under Ole.

Definitely need to keep him, would be nice if we could get some more games out of him but also realise that due to age he can’t start multiple games weekly and needs to be used sparingly

Cavani with the opening goal

Roma get 2 in a couple of minutes but Cavani levels it at 2-2 shortly after

And we go down 3-2 but mission accomplished.
Playing Villareal in the final after Arsenal couldn’t get the job done at home

Villareal! A town of 50,000. Wow.

I don’t really support a side in Spain but I do follow Villarreal’s results since they came to Adelaide and played Adelaide United. They were awesome to the fans and were guests in the city for about a week in which they visited many restaurants and wineries and socialised with fans and regular folk. I made a special effort when we last went to Spain to visit Villarreal and check out the stadium

I have had an interest in Villareal as Santi Cazorla went there and he may have even been bought from there.

How was their stadium? It is not really big is it?

Yeah, Santi started his professional career there and did two or three stints there during his career. It’s a smallish stadium and I haven’t been there when a game was on but it looked like you would be packed in with every seat having great views close to the action. Stands out like dogs balls and can see it for miles though as everything around it is light coloured and there is this bright yellow roofed building. It’s right in the middle of houses and expansions have meant the stands almost overhang the houses around the ground

Don Santi Cazorla. Epic story with his injuries.

This is an insane thread

Pretty poor first half but a much better United have rocked up after the break. Cavani levels it and United pressing for a second
