Many are saying we will get beaten out of the center. This has been a problem for some years. When Jobe was at his best he carried the load. Who do we have now? Think Kouta for Carlton years ago. We have a similarly built player in Smaka. Big, strong, tough, good kick and mark. Tough as they come. He’d be the player waiting for the ruckman to hit it to him, then handball it off to Hepp, Zert, McGrath etc. He isn’t tall enough to be a ruckman nor a key forward or back man, but his endurance around the ground would be a winner. A man of his size is worth a try at the center bounces.

If he goes anywhere near middle as a clearance player we’re rooted. Its the worse part of his game IMO.
