Mark Bolton is not only a talented businessman but he is a superb bloke in many ways. Great with people and will make a good CEO one day.
You’re voting for a person for a board position based on their playing career?
Of course not after hearing him talk on sen and what he wants to bring to the club he gets my vote.
articulate it for us nino.
also didn’t you say you weren’t a member earlier in the year?
I’ll leave that to some one else what he said.
Yeah haven’t been a member since 2009 if i were I would vote for him.
lol fantastic.
Well done champ
Me and patrick_bombers had seats together at Marvel and MCG
Did not receive voting email
I thought his interview was good and I’m keen, my only concern is he might be a sheedy/hird/dodoro faction plant.
no need for language like that
I’m voting for Solly. He’s genuine, been part of best team of all time, premiership player and coach. He also runs his own business and loves the club. I heard his interview on SEN this week. I liked what he said and it resonated with me. He’s down to earth and a good communicator. Vote for Solly !!!
He didnt say anything different to what others have said.
Everyone joining a board wants to see the club achieve success. What skill set does Solly have that will help the board?
I know he is involved in this wellness place that has two locations.
https://www.saltfit.com.au/
You get to vote for two, so who else ?
Really can’t understand how people get sucked into the “premiership player” angle. It means nothing being a board member.
Hopefully the majority of supporters are smart enough to see through it. There’s definitely a case for Solly but running a wellness business isn’t what the board needs. Weston’s rubbish pump up article from Rocco was laughable. He should just withdraw his nomination. Seems exactly the type of bloke that will be pushing for a Dodoro and Hird return. We’ve finally moved on from that era, let’s not go backwards
Also pretty sure Solly lives in Queensland. Not ideal to have a board member so disconnected. How much time / attention can he properly give to the role?
Paul Weston gets my second vote. Met Paul many years ago. Loves the club and is an articulate genuine person.
So Bill, you will go down the Past Player route.
I have spoken with both these blokes a number of times over the years. Socially both are nice enough, Soloman is a bit more outgoing and younger, but I thought that he lived up near Joey Daniher, and that Weston lived in Adelaide. Not sure that remote Board Members are a positive approach.
It is interesting that some think that ex-Players as Board Member brings us more footy experience. While you need to learn from the past, there is much about the past 20 years that we need to totally remove. I believe in buying the best expertise and advice you can afford, and have never viewed either Soloman or Weston as deep thinkers of the game or actually innovators in any way.
Reckon I will vote for one of the existing two and one of the two above.
