It gobsmacks me that “The Saga” thread is still going.

What is there to discuss all these years later that hasn’t been discussed over and over again.

(for clarity, I have not been in that thread for many years)

I actually see the Saga thread as an important historical record alongside the Bruce Francis website, Chip’s book, court records etc as an essential rebuttal of the rubbish published in much of the mainstream media.

When misinformation appears on other Blitz threads, I feel a need to correct it otherwise we are accepting corruption, manipulation and scapegoating innocent people.

I don’t care if anyone reads my posts or feels burdened because somewhere on the internet there is a discussion about a significant historical event.

I know you’ll find this hard to believe, and it might explain why you’re never there. (Not judging)But it’s a great place to connect with those that are passionate about bangers.

Way back in 2014, I went to the doctors as I was unwell.

During the conversation, my doctor asked me how closely I was following “the saga” (he knew I was an Essendon supporter).

I told him that I read everything I could find about it.

He suggested (qualifying it that it wasn’t a scientific bit of advice based on his training & experience) that it was impacting my health , both physically and mentally, and that it would be a good idea to stop spending so much time on the topic.

So I did…since then, I do my best to avoid the topic.

Yeah…I didn’t realise at the time how stressed it was making me.

Once I stopped fixating on it, I just felt better…almost lighter in spirit.
