Once again, I think the club knows it had a dirty season. They don’t need a nuffie cancelling their membership to understand that.

We have had a really bad season, but I don’t think its permanent.
Reckon the problem is coaching over talent. Rutten will only have a year to show some improvement IMO.
Which according to some is not what we need. Instead its cannons and raw kids and bottom 4.

it’s crazy how 10 years ago richmnd finished below us on the latter (15th) and now 10 years later they are top 4 and we are in the same spot we were 10 years ago lol
I can understand people taking a stand and cancelling their memberships.
But…I’ve got home and away reserved seats. Which is no longer offered. I cancel and I lose them for good.
So respect to those taking a stand! But I can’t/won’t do it at this point.

You don’t pay for a membership to rock up to games to watch management. You pay a membership to go to games and watch the team play. Essentially turning your back on the boys

Sure, we had a terrible season.
The guys lack belief in themselves.
We lack inspirational leadership.
We seem to be lost, and almost fearful at times.
We need a rebuild … absolutely.
But not necessarily of the list.
We need a psychological rebuild.
We need to rise above our weaknesses and play to our strengths .
Get the Mind Right, get it strong.
What we don’t need is a team full of pssss weak people much like most of the give-ups here.
I don’t care how badly we went, I have trust that we will rise again.
The past doesn’t define you. When the broken peace’s come together, maybe we will stronger than before it got broken.
Turning your back is not the answer.
Taking your footy and going home.
Spitting the dummy.
Taking away your membership.
I say be done with you all who would do it.
Our club would be better off without you lot.
Perhaps then you might go away and stop whinging in here.

If Essendon supporters could be blamed for anything over the past 17 years, it’s that we have been too understanding and charitable, no matter how far this club has fallen.
Perhaps the fact that supporters have given significant portions of their money every year, regardless of results, has contributed to the club’s complete lack of any accountability.
In fact, I would argue there has been no more loyal fan base in the AFL over the past decade. Our memberships went up during the saga, because people cared that much about helping the club, despite its horrendous governance.
But that has all changed now…
People have finally had enough, and rightfully so. This year was the final straw and supporters have finally been broken by the club. Their anger is completely justified and there isn’t enough spin in the world to change their minds.
So don’t even try to place any sort of blame on the supporters of this club.
