I know a lot of members and supporters live and breath Essendon and footy, but not all, to me Essendon and the game are entertainment as I have many other things in my life and quite simply if I am not being entertained by something I’m not gonna pay for it, and by entertained I mean 4 qaurter efforts week in week out, these guys are professionals who are playing like amateurs, so the club will not get my hard earned next year, if that makes me a pea heart then so farkin be it.

Worsfold came on board to right Th e ship, give players a sense of dignity and self worth- something that was taken from them during the saga. He might not have been the most tactically advanced and modernised teacher, but he had empathy, gave direction and helped a club, not just the players get back on their feet. His treatment round here has been disgusting. Personalised venom. Some by posters who should no better; some by just some fking flogs.
X has done a job getting the corporate side of stuff righted. After making sure the players where ok - the media, AFL didn’t care a jot, he went to work and made sure we could still have at least a club. We were ■■■■ raped by fines, and corporate interest could have gone south (as predicted by vindictive little know it alls like that ■■■■■ who’s name I can’t remember so you can’t ban me) but Campbell went to work and got it right. And I suppose he was the only one credentialed to do it and had to be made CEO or whatever to do that. He has weaknesses yes, and if contracts were stitched up for those involved so be it. Players first.
The board are pea hearted and useless.
Give rutten a chance. Worsfolds words were spot on.
Sign on, cancel, tattoo the barcode to your ■■■■ and arseswipe your way into games next year. Do whatever the frig you feel is necessary but make some noise. Time has come to get some respect back.
I have never been laughed at as an Essendon supporter.

And what exactly are you basing that trust on? Trust needs to be earned, and it absolutely hasn’t been by our current administration.
Am I the only one that had no issue with this year? We had no forward line for most parts, a midfield still coming together, new game plan…
I ■■■■■■■ hate essendon sometimes and the crap its put me through, but I do think we are heading in a good direction

How long are we going to use the “learning a new game plan” excuse for? We’ve been using it for 4 years, and I’m almost certain they will use it again next year. Other clubs can learn a game plan in one preseason.

Yes you probably are mate. Freo and Saints also had new coaches with new plans this year and showed a hell of a lot more than what we put up.
Brett Ratten is an exceptional coach. Carlton made a huge mistake when they replaced him with Malthouse.

Agree - member for 20 years+ and having having serious doubts about renewing. Went for a surf yesterday (live in Geelong) instead of watching the game. We went to every game in 2016 and were very proud but where are we going now??? Wouldn’t have thought my long financial and emotional commitment would make me a casual supporter.

If my memory serves me right Cara has been part of premierships at Essendon, Brisbane, Geelong, and Richmond. That’s a fair CV.
Reason I say that is that this club needs to re-learn and demand success. I don’t always buy that we need “EFC people” but we do need folks who know what a winning and demanding environment is.
Fingers crossed there is a change in that regard this pre season.

Many heinous crimes against humanity have been committed uttering those exact words.
I have been very disappointed this year, and acknowledge that there is a heck of a lot of improvement in so many areas needed.
But that didn’t stop me enjoying every little pearl that was offered up amongst the trash.
We just need to string the pearls into a necklace.
And it needs to start with heart and soul and mind.
Mind over matter.
I am an Essendon supporter because my mother was before me.
And hers and hers etc.
I was born Essendon, so I guess I don’t have a choice.
I love this club, I love the red and black it is indelibly imprinted in my psyche.
