I’m hopeful that we do a WC and simply fall to pieces unexpectedly and not bounce back for 5 years. We will never purposely bottom out.

I think you must mean since Jackson took over.
Sometimes, we did alright before then. For example, recruiting Sheedy as coach who set up the greatest period of success in the last 60 years(!) and recruiting interstate players like Baker, Duckworth, Bewick, Kickett etc.

This is the main disappointment of this year.
You trade BZT, get McKay and your looking to build your defence around 3 players - Reid/Mckay/Ridley
And 2 of them can’t get on park.
And what’s the best case scenario now, all 3 play together from Round 12 until the end of year??
And that’s best case from right now.
Season is basically a waste of these 3 can’t play 6-8 games to get some cohesion together.

The season is basically over, no point even finishing near the bottom because we will blow another top end pick on some skinny beanpole whos constantly injured before our ■■■■ development program finally kills his career too

i’m pretty sure we targetd the best fitness guy circa 08/09 ish from west coast fame.
he then got moved on when he didn’t agree with hird and thompson wanting to cram 4 preseasons into one off season after they fell away in 2011. we know what happened after that.

Yeah, I’d say since Jackson farked-up and we lost Heffernan, Caracella, Blumfield and Caracella within the space of 12 months.
We have been uniformly shiit as a club since then, targeting low-hanging fruit, taking shortcuts and choosing the soft option
