You assume that a full rebuild is a guarantee path for success. It definitely isn’t and the fact we don’t have many examples of full rebuilds that have equaled success, then its definitely a big risk.

The draft has been going for over 30 years now and Essendon has never jagged an out-and-out star from the first round of the draft. What makes you think we can get 3 champions any time soon?

Whilst i agree with all that, robbo better not be starting his bring back hirdy bullshit again. He gave no praise when we were going well and has been waiting for brad to have some tough times imo.

Nino from your posting I gather you’re not a member and don’t go to games, which I don’t criticise, each to their own how they spend their money and time.
But when you say you won’t put up with it, do you mean you won’t watch tv and post on blitz, because that doesn’t actually impact anyone.
From these threads there are dozens of die hard people who have recently handed in their memberships becuase they can’t put up with the way we have been approaching the comp. They are not sitting through it and given its memberships and then attendances it has a real impact.

I totally agree. I’ve heard it all before from McGrath. All Bull ■■■■. I have always thought you should support your team no matter what. I have been critical of those who have jumped off in the past. ■■■■ don’t I feel like a hypocrite. Not sure I have it in me to support this mob anymore. The reality is I wouldn’t be renewing my membership, but I know I will, due to my daughter wanting to go.

I was a silver member from about 2004 till about 2016/17 when i refused to renew my membership as i could see that we were in no-mans land and that we were going nowhere.
In that time i also went to every anzac game from 2004 till about 2015 with my brother and most often my father, we all stopped going about the same time as it was deja vu for a period against collingwood every year we would be non competitive. The club refused to make the hard decisions and we now find our selves in the exact same position than we were in almost 10 years ago when i stopped being a member.
Its also quite interesting that aroundvthe time i stopped buying memberships there was a few on here who would go on about being a member through thick and thin and hiw much they support the boys etc.
Funny how another 9 years of the same ■■■■ has an effect on people and that there eye’s are finally starting to open up to the fact that something has to give. And the only way to make it happen is to force the club and the only way to do that is through membership revenue.
