Can we just skip the next 2 years and go straight to Part 5?

Impossible, we don’t own Windy Hill and it is not big enough to build what is needed. The Hangar is not the reason we don’t win games of footy, that is on the players and coaches.

Never going to happen, and some of us would rather watch footy at Marvel.

Not even sure what this means.

Do we sack 30 blokes and spend the next ten years not winning a game ? Even with the current list we beat 5 of the teams above us on the ladder and maybe even the eventual premier.

Reckon we are maybe 4 players off being a very good team.

It really is as simple as acknowledging that 80+ % of the list isn’t up to it, identifying the players who who are that can remain and then taking the necessary steps using all available mechanisms to build a list that is more likely to be able to compete for premierships in 4-5 years time (maybe longer Nino) rather than fight for mid table finishes for 10-20 years.

You’re not the only one that sent emails around that period about their membership. So they won’t go through them all and call you back unless it asked for it. And if it did ask for a call back for what your options are, then that is their missed opportunity.

If you stated that you want your membership cancelled and the reason why (which is what most people would have done), they won’t bother calling. They know how it is likely to end.

Chances are they’ll still send you a renewal form for the upcoming season and even try and FOMO you into it with usual marketing stuff. I think they should be out by early to mid November.

There’s usually a call around in January / February for members who haven’t taken up their memberships leading into next year.

Yeah. You would have gotten a different response depending on what resolution you’re looking for.

An email is like breaking up with a girlfriend via SMS. It’s easier to do, but after a while it still leaves you frustrated.

My friend got the 1 year break thing by calling. But that was for last year. This year he got his membership but without reserved seating included. Still has the benefits of being a member of the club for XX amount of years.

I think if you were to call and say ‘I sent an email and I’d like know if I can have a membership gap year (I can’t recall what the term is)’ they’ll go through it with you. I’m just not too sure if they still offer it as I haven’t been able to find it in their policy statements. If you demand that they sack someone, delist a player, not name someone vice captain or that a certain player must be in the side, then they’ll find a way to end the call because there is no resolution there.

I’ve found dealing with things by email just doesn’t work. Too many things can be mis interpreted.

Get an exorcist into the place and let him weave his magic.

Was it Scott?

It really ties his scalp together

Dropped him after the first poor team performance. Then just stuck him in the sub role

IMO getting Cooper Sharman from the Saints will end the finals win curse and we can finally put this ongoing thread to bed as we go back 2 back 2 back.
