What a mess. I guess we can see there was a division in the playing group now. It’s coming to light currently.
Sad state of affairs. We’ve been through so much, it just absolutely ■■■■■■■ sucks that we are yet again stealing the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
I hope this is the start of change. I hope we are cutting out the cancer. I hope our kids take their captains actions personally and play with a chip on their shoulder from here on in. I hope we draft well. I hope we’ve hit rock bottom and now we climb. But I’m ready for more drama and disappointment, used to it. Numb to it even.
I’m legitimately not even sure I’ll know what to do if we start becoming good, because the prospect of supporting a good team is quite alien to me.
The 2 teams I support are Essendon and the Detroit Pistons. It’s pretty ■■■■■■■ dire. We’re talking a combined 38 years of zero finals wins.
At least Pistons won a couple games in their series this year before getting bundled out first round. Please Essendon, get your ■■■■ together before I die.

If SA can win the Sheffield shield Essendon can win a final! Maybe on 2-3 years.
All this time I’ve been lauding Merrett as some kind of beacon through this era. He’s a big ■■■■■■■ part of the problem.
Will look forward to seeing what next year looks like after he’s gone.
