Lost 13 games in a row, our Captain wants to go to our arch rival and our ex players are taunting us on insta. Yet somehow weirdly this is the best I’ve felt about the club for a long time

Three years in a row where the second half of the year is a bonfire of rubbish.
Yeah, the injuries may have had something to do with it THIS year. But the level of injuries tells you that, as ever, this was a side effect of the general incompetance of the club. We didn’t look that good when the “first 22” were in the team.
I dont think the seventies were this low. Twenty years if incompetance and mediocrity are catching up on us.

If Merrett and Ridley leave, then I reckon a few other people also need to leave, namely the coach and the President, this club is a basket case of a club. When you have the likes of Jake Stringer trolling the captain on IG or Tiktok, you know the club has not hit rock bottom. Maybe we need the mess to finally move on, after 2 decades of crap.
