I thought our effort was very good that night. We tried. We kicked a lot of behinds. We got beaten easily but not absolutely embarrassed. The difference was our number of kids, mid season draftees and fitness. They did not make us hate it and want to go home.
That said I agree with the sentiment we are not into the tough stuff.

GWS were pretty average that night from memory against a VFL outfit.
They owing by 48 points and the only players youād say were vfl players where smartt McMahon May Vigo
What we need is a Toby in our side. He is a gun.
i remember watching that night and the frustration on the giants players faces that they couldnt put us away was priceless, the players put up a fight that night and gws didnt like it, they indeed were the ones who wanted to go home. from memory we were dominant early but didnt put it on the scoreboard with 8 behinds in a row, gws had a good patch in the second which was the difference in the game, only had 3 scoring shots less than gws that night , this was probably the lowest point injury wise as to top off the substantial injuries they already had, we lost caddy, martin and setters the week before
GWS won 104 to 46. Donāt think they were too concerned to be honest.

They certainly didnt look happy, a team with that many injuries outplaying them for large periods is not good for a premiership aspirant, and they knew it
I was watching the same episode and thinking we were decimated with injury. And we wereā¦
Butā¦look at the list of players who played: still had Wright, Laverde, Ridley, Shiel, Merrett, McGrath, Durham, Redman, Duursma, Guelfi, Perkins, Gresham, Roberts. Still pretty experienced.
Whenever things swing back around Iām sure youāll enjoy it deeply (thatās not a dig)(but you are in the fkn doldrums)
