Didn’t really know where to put this, so throwing it here.

I took my daughter today to the skills session out at The Hangar. She had a great time and about half way through the boys came out and started helping out with the different groups of kids. After they were out there for about 10 to 15 minutes, everyone started noticing that it was all the youngsters out there……..none of the Ā« senior players Ā» (I don’t count Blakiston as a senior player) were out there at all. Top of my head was Sharp, Roberts, Robey, Caddy, Huss, Kako, Unwin, Kondo, Saad, Blakison, Artemis, Cillian, Farrow, May, ADW, Nguyen and Johnson.

At the end there was a Q&A and the group out there were having a great time, enjoying themselves and laughing at each other. It was a great to see and as I have mentioned in other threads, great to see a groups of guys genuinely enjoy each other but it was strange and did give off an old feeling.

I am curios to know that in the second session, if it was the kids again, or if the seniors were out there?

Needless to say she had a great time and got to add Robey to her signature collection!!

Shame. A lot of the senior players could use a skills session.

That does seem pretty odd

Second group had Duz, Wright, Caldwell, Merrett, Langford, Reid, Redman, Perkins, Cox, Gresham, Jones, Prior, Martin & McKay. We caught the end of the 1st session & yes it did look like it was split into younger & older players. Probably something to do with training programs.

The groups train separately? Why?

Is this a common occurrence?

Surely you would want the group to train all as one to develop cohesion

I think it might be trying to limit the poor influence of the senior players in contaminating the young players.

Club may be doing something right for once.

Nah. Who am I kidding. It’s just the older players being entitled.

That’s a massive conclusion to draw. Nothing at all suggests they train separately.

I would think for day like this (kids training at the club) the groups would be split to minimise the disruptions. I assumed that the younger guys would have been with the early group while the more senior guys possibly were in the gym & then they swapped. They weren’t doing any actual training drills as separate groups.

Just wondering if our constant soft tissue problems have been solved?

It seems a bit better….

Ah ok, that makes sense

does seem. more of the injuries this year have been impact-related?

having said that, there was talk that changes in strength and conditioning regimes can take a year or two to fully set in.

I read (somewhere) that the S&C Coach shortened the time our players train at the highest level. I think they still do the same amount of training, but it is in shorter bursts.

Can anyone confirm this or add to this?

Stabby pls…

AKA as the future

Except for when we watch them play every weekend. The way they don’t play as a team to me suggests they train separately!

It suggests they don’t train at all!

Was Tsatas in the group with your daughter?

I just seen this pop up on Twitter. Not sure who she is, but absolutely nails it, regard the culture.

the club and players are sitting around waiting for the new coach to be appointed, so that person can fix the issues at the club.

How about, get f*cked…… fix the problem now. It starts with senior players who are deliberately disregarding coaching instructions.

Haven’t been in this thread for a while, it has seemed redundant.

I am posting my fierce agreement about the pictured lump of faeces. The culture of the entire club, external as well as internal, was spat on by Jackson.

May he rot.
