Iām approaching this year like Iām panning for gold. Weāre gonna have to get rid of all the mud and itāll take plenty of time. Hopefully thereās some specks and a couple of nuggets floating around. At least weāre not farming the Dodoro Swamp anymore. Itās Rosa River time.

The way gold is performing (closed at $A 4191.00 on Friday), if the likes of Kako, AD-W, Gerreyn, Nguyen end up nuggets, and with a decent hedge of 2 first rounders next year, weāll be rich.

Glass half full, positive vibes. Onwards and upwards for me. Hopefully the current regime finally succeed. Itās the first time in decades weāve seen system and transformational change off field. 20 list changes in two years with another 8-10 likely end of 2025.
One, maybe two more difficult years ahead and then itās hopefully an upward trajectory with genuine signs of hope.

Yep. Not saying youāre wrong.
However, some are just negative pessimists full stop, footy just being another subject to be negative about.
Some of my mates are like this, even in the 2000 theyād find reasons to be pessimistic or negative. Itās just their personality default type. People are naturally either negative, glass half empty types or the opposite. Thatās life I guess.

He spoke about being in debt to the club, well mate youāre not off to a good start not being present at the AGM.
Could probably guess all his answers to the questions asked.

Youāve probably been saying this every year since you joined in 2004.
Some of us on here are actually young enough where we either didnāt exist the last time we had success, or were too young to have any form of recollection about it.
So unfortunately for many of us, we donāt get to live vicariously through the successes of decades gone, and our entire Essendon experience has been failures, a drug saga, and mediocrity.
So how dare we doom and gloom.
