I canā€™t understand a word of anything she sings. Okay, itā€™s a strong, compelling voice. But as for conveying lyric?

Really? I have trouble understanding many, many singers. Sheā€™s definitely not one of them. Maybe weā€™re like dogs, something to do with the frequency? Her voice just hits my sweet spot for hearing I guess.
