Songs you haven't heard in years

Along similar lines (origins of known 80’s bands) if you’re familiar with the early 80’s synth-pop song Talk Talk by the band Talk Talk, check this out.

Mark Hollis was the singer in The Reaction and went on to form Talk Talk. This is how that very 80’s song sounded only a couple of years earlier…

Just speaking to you has reminded me to remove the plastic sleeves from my vinyls, which I was going to do when I was reading the thread but forgot …thank you

Yeah, that was yesterday’s scare. Very sound advice from Crumbs. Had to inspect then scan-listen to over a hundred records to make sure they’re ok.

Hope yours are as relatively unaffected as mine seem to be.

I’ve got the synth-pop version floating around somewhere but had no idea of this version until now. Both a sound of their respective times. Enjoyed that.

Triple M’s playlist seems like someone brings in his record collection and leaves it for everyone to play for a few weeks. Heard Shawn Mullins ‘lullaby’ 3 times in the last fortnight, same with Counting Crows ’ Mr Jones’s. Probably hadn’t heard them since they were released.

Triple moron is a mouth breather radio station. They only talk about football, and play about 3 songs. Fox has more variety.

Wouldn’t have a Scooby if we get fox down here😀

5 stars from me. Great video clip too - she was (and still is) a stunner.

And still remember when radio play of this was banned for a few months after September 11.
