It feels like it’s on the cards with the seemingly real ditching of the zone tbh
Following on from @Beyond50 commment in the Ridley thread, there was a lot of heat about Reid getting dropped in the Team selection threads… so given how we went was it?
- a good selection move
- we got lucky
- we would have done even better with Reid in
Was in defence all day. Good composure, nice core strength to get rid of the opposition.
That was a 10 goal licking by the way.
There was some pretty inaccurate kicking in the last and some times when poor chemistry between Peter, Harry and Packo cost us opportunities.
And add those two goals to them in the third from the ■■■■ fifty and dodgy in the back call.
We flogged them.
Just have a little bit of joy for ■■■■■ sake. We know we’re a steaming pile of ■■■■ but just appreciate the flecks of glitter that were just sprinkled over us.
No changes for mine.
My goodness I didn’t even notice, interesting (hadn’t paid attention to much footy this week)… No doubt we’re unbalanced with the extra tall in, one of Rids/Lav/Reid/Kelly needs to miss it seems… Reid will be fine, huge future.
Would have been worse on King than LAV. And until Membrey went forward, no other talls to match up on.
Hard to work out votes for tonight
I’m guessing Redman Wright kinda have to be there but then there’s so many others
Good to see us play somewhat like last years team.
A lot more run from behind for the ball to get some flow going and a lot more run to support team mates.
Can’t wait for Draper to stream roll Parker
I just hope Shiel continues his form and shows em up with a BOG
Caldwell for mine.
He was very good
McGrath gave Higgins a bath.
That was a great game to attend. Really enjoyed it. We had our run and pressure back. And it seemed like the players had been given the go ahead to take those risky kicks back into the centre.
As always, I had an altercation with a Carlton supporter. On the train home, they said “You did us a favour by winning. We needed the Saints to lose”
To which I said “I kinda wish we lost now”.
He didn’t have a reply to that.
Players after the game spent a lot of time with the fans at the fence. Was great.
Thought our rucks killed it, were more aggressive, gave us first use and basically set the scene from the opening bounce.
I started watching but then went to visit my bestie who’s leaving for overseas on Monday.
Good night either way as we won, even though I didn’t see it
We win, fark carlton lose. Those weekends are always good.
@BakerWasAStar were you at the game?
