Already seeing heaps of smooth brain Oppo supporters leaving uneducated comments on the advertised shorts just pi$$es me off too much

Well, I don’t find that hard to believe.
The foamers?
J34 are like the rest of us - at an impasse. There are too many people and organisations with their mark on this case to allow justice to prevail. “Justice is blind”.
J34 made a submission to the ANAO about SIA in 2024. In 2016 we made an initial submission to the ANAO for a full and independent audit of then ASADA. Apart from all the evidence that the case and decision against the Essendon players was not only false but legally flawed, the fact that the Chief Executive Ben McDevitt lied in front of the Senates Estimates Committee demanded investigation.
The response from ANAO was that ASADA was not included on the list of Government Departments subject to audit.
The J34 Submission covered a wide range of topics relevant to the case up until late 2016.
A further submission was submitted to the ANAO last year before the September deadline. The 2016 submission was attached to the 2024 submission.
The latter submission covered the broader issue of SIA’s decision making across all sports from 2016 to mid 2024, including the release of an internal survey conducted at the SIA of the employees. For those interested only 54% of employees participated,
Leadership rated 49%
Teamwork rated 40%
Work Environmenr 47%
Change Management 32%
Also details of cases against Shayna Jack and Peter Bol. The case against SIA of harassment of a 10 yo gymnast who was “questioned” by SIA investigators in a room with no guardian or parent. The girl and mother claimed inappropriate behaviour by a coach. The SIA investigators were ex-cops.
The Sinner Case is one where a very high profile athlete, backed by big business, sponsorship, media, in a case where he tested positive was let off with a slap on the wrist. The same could be said about the Chinese swimming team who tested positive for a banned substance not once, but three times. Then there is the Russian case. WADA are not going to make a run against those foes.
As one of the Australian ex-Judges who provided expert legal opinion in the Essendon case before the CAS. “The Essendon players were the low hanging fruit”.
It still sticks in my gut, along with all of you Bomber supporters I guess. A premiership might help but I don’t see that happening soon. But even with that the stain will not disappear.
There are some on here, who are part of J34, who went above and beyond seeking justice. Incredible amount of time and energy and a commitment to justice that is commendable.
Check out Tracey Holmes on twitter reporting on Caster Semenya’s successful appeal to the European Court of Human Rights and Coates statement of the need for a more rigorous CAS approach.
It’s relevant to the J34 .
Wasn’t Coates won of the major Rsoles instigating the penalties against Essendon despite no evidence? (Apologies if he reads this and he wasn’t). (If he reads this and he was: fark you, you shi+head!).
We really appreciate your efforts and feedback as to the situation.
Thank you so much.
Lets hope justice eventually prevails.
One key item I forgot to mention in my last post was that I was sent a response from ANAO in late 2024 to point out that the scope of the audit was limited to post 2020. The invitation for submissions did not include that instruction.
In simple terms from March 16th 2006 to January 2020 the Regulator of Sport and Anti-doping was afforded no oversight by the Government who established it. During the height of the saga, December 2014 and December 2017, the Minister responsible for Sport, which included ASADA, was the now leader of the Liberal Opposite, Sussan Ley (is this not the same person who was embroiled in a “shady” Property Deal on the Gold Coast).
My Christain Brothers education, which included Latin, allows me to ask: “Quis Custodiet Custodes”. i.e. Who Guards the Guardian.
Coates wears/wore many hats. VP of the IOC, President of the CAS, President of the Australian Olympic Committee (22 years). He “bullied” the AOC into keeping him on in an honorary executive role.
A former Federal Senator and supporter of J34 told us, which was later confirmed, that John Coates was only person who could walk into the Prime Minster’s office without an appointment.
He famously confronted then PM, John Howard, when Howard was still considering whether Australia should sign up to WADA. Coates said to Howard " you don’t want to be the PM that has to tell his sports mad Nation that we have been banned from future Olympics. And that Australia was one of only 4 Nations that had attended every Olympic Games"
Thanks. I thought so. Coates: if you read this, refer to my second comment in the post above.
As a Latin scholar, you will understand: Obscurum facit obscurum.
ANAO has a rolling program of review of Public Service Agencies. It will undertake special reviews on request. I was advised that, because of resource constraints, a special review would only be scheduled if requested by an MP/Senator.
Maybe, in light of Coates statement acknowledging the need to clean up CAS following the ECHR ruling , getting that out in the MSM here could spark an interest in the failings in the CAS system against the Essendon players.
Also, if nothing else, to pressure the AFL to restore Jobe’s medal.
I remember facit means " to do" or “make”. Obscurum = obscure, dark would be my take. It was 50+ years ago. Far from a scholar.
Far from guarding the guardian, an incompetent minister is “The Obscure” who " makes [more] obscure".
I see posts on this thread and you boys and girls get my hopes up
.
I’ll be watching and waiting and hoping and sulking until the end of days.
Is the discussion better than the summary?

It’s fine. Doesn’t say too much new stuff, but good discussion.
Edit: I just finished listening to it while taking my dog for a walk. I thought he was about to mention searching up the supplements with his Mum at the end, but no.
Now to listen to the @DonTheStat podcast
Could they not even spell his name right?
