I didn’t post this last line of Tanner’s comment as it just made me angry.
Lindsay is a nice bloke and all that, but he effectively lumped all the Players and us Supporters in the same group as the Board and EFC Senior Management at the time. It was the Board and EFC Senior Management governance fark up and then gross cowardice by rolling over to AFL and throwing 34 players, coaches and other staff, and Supporters under the bus.
Fark him, Little, Brasher and every other Board Member at that time.

Biochemist from Essendon scandal opens Dubai clinic with fake name

The underworld figure and biochemist at the centre of the Essendon supplements scandal has opened a specialist anti-ageing clinic in Dubai under an assumed name.
Shane Charter, the 57-year-old convicted drug trafficker nicknamed “Dr Ageless”, is now going by the name Shane Bakker in promotional materials for his new “longevity” centre set up in the United Arab Emirates.

But the former champion bodybuilder couldn’t resist using his own photo on the website for Health Corp Dubai, a clinic that is apparently headquartered in the luxurious Meydan Hotel.
Dr Ageless was a key player in the 2012 Essendon and Cronulla football doping scandals.

Charter left Australia about two years ago in a bid to restart his life following a major heart attack that nearly killed him, along with a series of criminal charges stemming from a police raid of his Melbourne-based clinic in 2022 that seized steroids and human growth hormone.
Charter did not respond to a request for comment about the name change.
The new clinic promises “cutting-edge protocols using stem cells, peptides, IVs, and cellular repair”.
“At Health Corp, our mission is to empower individuals to extend their healthspan, optimise their biology, and realise their fullest potential through science-based, personalised, and innovative health solutions,” the website said.
“We combine advanced diagnostics, longevity medicine, biotechnology, and holistic lifestyle interventions to create programs that enhance vitality, resilience, emotional wellbeing, and long-term performance.”
It is unclear where clients receive treatments from Health Corp Dubai, which lists its address as the business centre at the Dubai hotel.

Health Corp Dubai, which is not registered in the UAE according to local incorporation records, is listed as a sole trading business in Australia in the name of a relative and has an Australian web address.
The business is being run along with professional bodybuilders Adam Rochester and Calum von Moger, a three-time Mr Universe and actor who once played Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In 2020, Charter was hit with fines by the Therapeutic Goods Administration over a fake “breakthrough” COVID-19 treatment he was offering. That same year, this masthead revealed that Charter had loaned $1 million to a health and wellness company run by former Liberal trade minister Andrew Robb.
Numerous underworld figures have sworn by the treatments facilitated by Charter, including former bikie Toby Mitchell after he was shot six times in 2011, and Sam “The Punisher” Abdulrahim, who was shot eight times in 2022.
In 2007, Charter was sentenced to nearly four years’ jail over a scheme to import 100,000 pseudoephedrine tablets, used in the manufacture of amphetamines.
“Shane brings more than 20 years of experience in precision health, biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and clinical wellbeing. His vision drives Health Corp’s evolution into a world-leading longevity and performance institute,” the Health Corp Dubai website said.
Charter is still using his name on other companies registered in Australia.
Ive only attended a couple of games since the saga, the last being 2019.
I can relate to the mental health side,I had so many arguments about what went on with different people. Ive just been bitter about the game as a whole but still love the team.
Even the overuse of themes for many rounds prove the AFL are just the governments mouth piece.
It really opened my eyes to the absolute lying, bullshitting media, and not just in footy circles.
This year, I’ll probably take my 13 year old daughter to her 2nd game, as she did ask late last year if we can go.

Well, finally, and update.
Bruce Francis has created a website based on this saga.
I haven’t read through all of it yet, but I was hoping my fellow Blitzers can look through it all and provide some feedback, positive and negative, before it gets distributed far and wide.

I’ve had a good look at the website. Essentially it is a compilation of Bruce’s work since 2013. It is thorough and well researched from source documents. It shows how the AFL with Evans’ help set up the coaches and the doctor to take the fall for something they thought happened under their watch which in fact Bruce’s work indicates probably didn’t . I say probably didn’t because in the words of the AFLADT the case against the 34 players lacked ‘an evidentiary basis’. And as Bruce shows the CAS decision was about getting convictions and not about the facts.
Bruce has done the truth a favour and through his website the facts are there for all to see. What we need now is a PHD scholar to write his or her thesis on this appalling failure of public policy and of course for the 34 to be exonerated, Jobe to get his Brownlow back and for the AFL to be cleaned out of all those involved in the stitch up.

i wish i didnt go there. it makes my blood boil. what a traumtic time. They threw Jimmy under a bus and what a man to still want to come and coach the club after what he had been put through.
