Speculation on the team to pile on the Cats - 2020 round 16

Out: Daniher, Hooker, Stringer, McGrath

In: Phillips, Crauford, McKernan, Mutch

Seasons gone, Hooker and Stringer looked to be struggling and Joe Will need a game off

Have a look at Crauford, Phillips to seap forward/ruck with drapes
Have a look at Mutch as a mid
Couldnt think of another forward to bring in so McKernan it is

Nobody has gotten a hold of bzt yet and heā€™s stood some good forwards. Give him a crack

You can break yourself at training/the vfl or a scratch match.

I just reckon our seasons been so interrupted for a large chunk of our senior players that you play em all

Wont be seeing Crauford, I understand heā€™s left the bubble and gone home with an injury.

Is he contracted for next year? I know there was talk when we drafted him that he wanted 2 years.
Itā€™s unclear with him Phillips and Cutler

yep purely based on Browns expert commentry
but looked like he was favouring it, why risk him? Especially if we can play hooker back and or bring Francis in.

I also like to get a look at Crauford, and then can still switch hooker forward after half time.

I would like to see Francis on Hawkins.
He did the job on Lynch and Tex Walker

Retire Hurley

Francis in

Off the top of my head I donā€™t believe so but donā€™t take it as gospel

Iā€™d be surprised if we signed a pre-season rookie for 2 years. Eg ZLarke only got 1 year.

ā€¦

Still have to try to win the game somehow

We are actually playing decent footy at present. The last 6 quarters anyway.

McGrath out. Short break again. Cats fresh off a bye. Very tough.

Need a miracle, like Danger & Hawkins in Q1 simultaneously KOā€™n each other in a marking contest

Selwood and Stanley expected to miss. Darcy Fort to ruck likely who is not that mobile.

I donā€™t think we can run the extra tall fwd line again, perhaps bring in Townsend to be set a task on Tom Stewart. More fwd pressure there. And Hooker goes back on Hawkins.

I donā€™t know what they will do with JD. He might play but if he doesnā€™t Smack comes in.

Iā€™m not sure if they will rest Draper again or just let him go against Fort, if he misses Phillips in.

Heppell/Clarke into the guts. Iā€™d like to see Guelfi up to play on a wing, McKenna into defence.

OUT: McGrath (inj), Zerk ā€¦ Daniher?, Draper?
IN: McKenna, Townsend ā€¦ Smack?, Phillips?

B: Saad Hooker Ridley
HB: Gleeson Hurley Smith
C: Guelfi Clarke Langford
HF: Towner Stewart TIPPA
F: Mosquito Daniher? Stringer
R: Draper? Shiel Zerrett

B: Parish Heppell Snelling McKenna

Would it make a difference that he was a bit speculative/project type?

Not according to Footywire .

In: ??? , Smack/Francis, Mckenna

Out: McGrath, Daniher, Mozzie

  • Donā€™t know who come in for McGrath, not to play a midfield role just to play.
  • Smack in as a forward for joey, or keep Hooker forward and play Francis???
  • Mozzie against the big body cats worries me, Mckenna in

Crauford showed some promise.
Will be interesting if he will be given another contract.
Can he refuse a contract and try to get to a SA club?

Hmm. Maybe we are too tall ?
Townsend averages 0.8 goals a game, can actually apply pressure.
SMACK averaged 0.6 goals a game. a truck, does not tackle

Both good for about 1 contested mark per game.

Rest Hurley. Leave Hooker forward. Play Francis.
Give BZT, Francis and Ridley the responsibility.

Too young against Geelongā€™s forward line, there experience alone will destroy us.
Need Hooker or Hurley back, just for talk, help set people up, so on.

Is Mckenna good to go? Missing his spark.
