which player is from the best #goodfamily, who shows #leadshipqualities?

I think we’ll end up with one of Smith, RCD or Hately for our inside mid group.

You’d think that Smith will play immediately as an outside/in mid. RCD would be added to the Langers/Stringer combo of HF/inside mid rotation. Hately probably the same as RCD.

Personally I want them all. Make it happen Dodoro. .lol.

Bailey Smith would be my guess

RCD was not helped but his sub-par ruckman today and his outside game is still poor. Bytel has leather poisoning before being rested for the 2nd half.

Noah Anderson should be pick 1 next year he kicked 3 goals and has leadership qualities

RCD has all the tools to be great on the outside, namely speed and skills, is it a positioning and or an endurance issue for him?

Next year seems like a good one for midfielders a lot of exciting types with a good mix of skills, goal kicking, size and ball winning. Anderson, Flander and even the WA boy Sharp just off the top of my head

Some players just know where to be on transition and he just finds himself running and leading to the wrong spots which is also the case when playing forward. Still showed his other traits like his clean hands, ability to stick up in a tackle and again his kicking was very good, I don’t think he will play AFL footy in his first year it will take some time for his body and mind to adjust. Talent is there but a club will need to put a lot of work into his running patterns for him to maximise his output.

Some players find those sorts of issues easy to fix, others impossible, it’s why Dodoro gets paid the big bucks.

On another note I’m finding this draft kind of strange. Looks like the top 6/7 are clear standouts, then you could throw a blanket over the next 40 odd. Still has a lot of depth though i reckon.

It would be hilarious if Rankine has an off field incident pre draft and drops to 7/8 for us.

Why isnt Bytel more talked about if he seems to consistently play good footy? What is the knock on him?

Would love a list of the top 10 midfielders and which player they resemble playing style. Rankine seems talented but a bit small for what we’re looking for in the midfield?

Just wait for TD1s draft articles coming soon™.

I kinda like the look of Hately

Kicking and speed, he may slide like Worpel and he is a similar player to Clarke with slightly better kicking

Stoppage specialist who just has a knack for winning the ball

Stats from the 18s game for mids
Oakleigh
Rowbottom 24 touches, 11 tackles
Ross 28 touches
RCD 11 touches

Calder
Bytel 23 touches and 5 tackles (all in first half!)

Noah Anderson who is in the frame for pick 1 next year played forward for 16 touches and 3 goals, big bodied inside mid with leadership qualities

For me Rankine is like Michael Walters with a bit of Motlop and Fantasia thrown in.

If he is at our pick I think we have to take him

Knightmare on bigfooty has good info and who players play like.

His player comparisons have been a source of debate for many years, not his best work but player comparisons are a pain in the ■■■ anyway
