6 day break after this game, coming back from WA to face the Hawks on Fri night - we were always going to rest someone. Kelly and Stokes to return next week, probably at the expense of a couple the kids to freshen them up.

Great to see Hams given another shot. Not sure why no replacement like-like for Hartley. We were pretty short to start with and now dropped another key position.
Kelly probably needed the break and its going to be interesting to see how the team goes will nearly all ‘listed’ players.

Managed to stem the midfield bleeding last week almost solely off the back of throwing Kelly into the middle and now we’re “resting” him against team without a win so he can play against the reigning premiers off a short week!!! He’s been in our top 2 or 3 all year. Either he’s injured or we are…um…focusing on the big picture? Freo will have to seriously tank to avoid winning this week. This has to the smallest midfield in recent history.
