That little thin piece of plastic

When you get say a remote control that has that thin piece of plastic (or a piece of glass with it, or an appliance with it), do you remove it straight away or keep it on till it falls off or never remove it?

  • Remove it immediately
  • Keep it on until it falls of naturally
  • Do everything you can to keep it on forever

Last time I did one of these you all freaked out.

Are you wrong again?

I wasn’t wrong the first time.

Sometimes I don’t realise it’s there until it half falls off.

Brain told me to select “Remove immediately”

But then I remember I got ducted AC installed about 2.5 years ago and only just removed the plastic from the touch screen control panel

Might be a good time to remove the outer plastic from this monitor I have had and used for 4 years.

I’m a little relieved.

I reckon it took me about 2 years to remove the plastic film from the new dishwasher.

In fact I just looked at the fridge/freezer - the lower freezer still has the plastic on it - 3 years and going strong.
