3rd umpire needs to find a new job, because he should be sacked immediately.

How on earth are Head & Harris considered to be better batsman than Khawaja? Still don’t understand how Starc can be considered a walk up start anymore either. Good thing the Poms are trash but a few other teams could jump this XI at the Gabba.

It was between Khawaja and Head, Harris not in the equation as he is considered the best available opener and I don’t have a problem with that. Khawaja bats at 5 or not at all IMO and it was neck and neck between him and Trav. I think the extra baggage around Khawaja such as his age went against him.
I would have been happy with either Starc or Richardson but it appears they have stuck by Starc for the variation

If by variation, you mean Starc is unable to bowl a line and length, then l agree. He has lost his mojo, but would love to see him get back to his threatening best.

India 6/260.
Agarwal still there on 135.

Waj is 35 in a couple of weeks.
Not coming back in.

Ajaz Patel first 7 wickets. Could it happen?

Ajaz Patel becomes only the third bowler in test history to take 10 wickets in an innings.

Wow.

10/119.

Only Laker and Kumble have done it before.

Amazing and obviously very rare effort, glad I was watching. Patel was born in Mumbai too, so that’s a nice touch.

Also, a tremendous century by Agarwal. The guy has played 16 Tests, 1200 runs at almost 50 with four centuries (three 150+ scores). The fact he hadn’t been able to hold his place in the team after such a strong start to his career shows the quality of depth India has. I reckon they could realistically field three or four world class Test XIs.

Patel bowled 48 overs, a mammoth effort.

Outstanding effort by Patel, brilliant work.

Fantastic performance. Interesting mindset by Siraj though. You come in at 11, with a guy on 9 wickets and you go the slog. Would most players try and defend Patel and slog the next bowler? Or did he want to be immortalised in a highlight ala Jake Carlisle and Brad Johnson

Kiwis not made a great start at all. Latham bounced out, caught hooking. 2/15.

Mitchell adjudged lbw off Yadav, however review shows the ball just passing over the stumps. Still 2 down but under immense pressure…

NZ are a mess 3/17

Siraj first 3. Perhaps he went the slog because he was so keen to get out there and have at crack at 10 himself.
