The 2023 Draft Thread

Another one instead of 34 and then daylight to 88.

No doubt. On the bags.

I’m happy with what we’ve done.

Caddy makes more sense than O’Sullivan and I wasn’t sold on Leake. If we were sold on Caddy then fair play to pull the trigger on it. We have another pick close to 31 anyway. We might still be able to get the player we want at that pick.

We just ■■■■■■ away a trade.

It depends on whether they saw Caddy as better than O’Sullivan + pick 31

i reckon we’ll use pick 35 to do that

so then we need to give away probably F2 + F3 to get back into this 2nd round

We would have done that anyway by picking up some useless project player

So Geelong sucked us in that they wanted Caddy to get a free 2nd round pick

Listening to Nate on Gettable he wanted to play more mid time but said his coach wanted him forward. Played mid a bit when someone had words to his coach and sounded Stringer like with clearances and fend offs. Cocky bastard. Good.

Reckon we made try the F1 for GWS 16 or Norths 17

Or maybe we don’t rate this years second round? Anything is possible I guess.

Koltyn choosing so stay in WA instead of being at the draft to “be with family” wouldn’t fill me with confidence as a Melbourne supporter.

We’ll trade 35 + 88 for pick 31. Genius.

Rosa: hear me out, what if we trade up to get the player we want?

Dodoro: calm down hot shot. Nobody here wants to trade with us.

Rosa: picks up the phone and calls Geelong.

These points that GC is matching with are a complete nonsense. This will be the trigger for the AFL to change the system just in time to screw us on Bewick.

Agree we really wanted Caddy, needed to be sure we got him.

I reckon haha
