Thats the luxury of being ahead of us in the draft! We could have done the same trading down too. Theres also nothing to stop us trading back in if we want someone on the board in the 20s to pip the cats or anyone else!

We don’t know what other clubs were in the mix to trade up to get Cats pick
There could have been offers there that we had to get ahead of, especially given we just got trumped on GWS’s pick by the Crows for Curtin
I think it’d be less about Cats swindling us with intention to take the kpd next anyway and more about not missing out on our man to other clubs
