I think Lindsay is the only option if we want someone that can play half back flank pretty quickly. I’d only get someone that can play hbf initially though with a top 10 pick, i don’t like spending that high of a pick on someone that might be stuck there their whole life, as it’s the easiest position on the field.

Yeah Lindsay looks like one of the best users and is apparently also very versatile. Would be another 183cm mid for us though if we saw him ending up there, I’d be drafting him for a HB/wing role (or even HF if he has the craft, we could definitely use better delivery I50).

I’ll always remember him in round 21 this season (back end of this year when everyone has said he got it together) nailing a 40mtr set shot to begin the 3rd.
A top 5 pick kicking a goal from 40m out in the VFL is sure something to remember

I was referring more that we thought we could get away with offering him a third year Rookie contract not realising another club could potentially pick him up for nothing if they offered him a senior list contract.
Granted Scott clearly didn’t rate him enough to play him but we should have extended him well before this became an issue.

Do you have any source for this? I’d be astonished if nobody in our recruitment team was aware of the rookie contract rules.
