If Saints still want Shiel would they give their end of first round pick for him? Offer that and a future 3+4 or something along those lines to Lions / GWS / Cats to try get Shanahan?

That could be Lalor (Allan, Trainor?) / Kako / Shanahan (Travaglia, Berry)

End of first round for a 32 year old Dylan Shiel?!? Fold them if they do that.

They’d need to throw in a sweetener I reckon.

I don’t think they would…he’s getting on a bit and is not exactly a perfect picture in regards to injuries. Cap relief and a 3rd round pick is where it’s at I reckon.

Funny the different perspectives… let’s see - posted some potential pick scenarios. But we probably wouldn’t / dont have any picks to package at all haha

Hahaha they are all the same united perspective.

@j_w is having a laugh and I reckon @whereswalla’s call is about where it sits. Might help us get points to match a Kako bid if anything.

Couldn’t tell tbh

Agree. We don’t need another mid like this. Please use the pick on a Forward

I agreed, but the query over Jobe has been his contested stuff and hardness, not sure that is a good trait for caddy’s long term foil.

Also limits us for ruck forward options considering we still have a bunch of other medium forwards running around for the next few years

I’m no trade bod but would it be beyond the realms if Port were open to trading Houston and Redders is looking for an angle back in S.A a trade could be done? Same ages, position, Houston takes no prisoners, rates higher I bet and is a gun kick. Redders just seems off this past 12 months or since he signed on …

Am probably talking ■■■■■ but ot might be good for both parties. Unsure of Houston contract situation though…

They’d want our first as well.

Sheesh, he could go # 1, with those you beaut attributes!

Shiel would also want to be open to the trade, and from what he has said he would like to stay at EFC.

You’d think it’s a straight swap, redders first poor season, but no doubt port will ask for more and bend us over again.

Interest in Hotton, if he is recovering well? Skills in the forward line or any line are needed.

Yeah I’m with you. I’d be keener on Hotton than Berry if we’re looking at pairing Kako with another small forward. Hotton’s athletic profile in pre-season testing was absolutely elite, he’s a fierce competitor and a bit of a fiery character, great skills, finds the footy and hits the scoreboard.
