The 2024 Draft [no longer spec] Thread

Foot skills aside doesnt mean Tsatas’ kicking isnt an issue, it means - like I said in my original comment-, other than being a better kick what do they do differently as players?

And mate, you dont even watch the farking VFL games so you have zero right to comment on anything anyone says about Tsatas’ kicking, given you have actually zero clue how much he has improved it. People commenting uninformed opinions on this site does my head in.

Thanks for the reply
Their around the ground work and how they attack the ball seems very similar to me.

How do you know I don’t watch the VFL?

Because you have said it in other threads.

Oh, so now you believe what I say.

Why would it be a reach? I dare say by the time the next ranking form guide comes out from all the key draft watcher that Jobe will be in the 10-15 bracket at a minimum.

His form warrants being spoken about as a top 10 pick.

Wow, that’s impressive. Has all the tools of your modern day player. Would be crazy if he lasted to our pick. Strength, size, speed, power, goal kicking mid forward, with good disposal and aggression.

Don’t think he’ll make it past saints, they need more elite mids

Imagine if we didnt beat freo

He would be absolutely perfect for them.

Sure, but as noober mentioned it could also be a flash in the pan, I’d say a lot of the top 15 will have a lot more exposed form to look at

I dont think 15ish is too much of a stretch. The draft does have some supply and demand about it as well. If a few clubs decide that Shanahan is the best key forward in the pool, and they really want a key forward, they could talk themselves into pouncing before rivals get a chance. Reckon its especially likely for the clubs trading into multiple first rounders.

This is basically the same thing as the previous poster. You’re judging Shanahan on the basis of what you’ve seen of Shanahan not the rest of the pool.

If there were 30 Harley Reids in this draft pool then speaking about Shanahan as a top 10 pick would be ludicrous regardless of his form.

Very reactionary, could well be true but on the same hand quite likely to be false - especially given how strong the top 10 look this year. In a covid or down draft then probably yeah. Might be too risky for us but maybe Rosa lives for those risky picks who knows

I’m judging it based on club needs. Obviously I have no idea what I’m talking about as I’ve watched 2 minutes of a highlight reel of most of them and 3 full games of VFL for Jobe.

Understand your point but Harley Reid is an extreme example though no? Youd know better than I do but isn’t the consensus that this draft is very even? In your opinion how big is the gap between the top 10 and Shanahan?

Have to agree with TOP, he seems a little slower and less explosive, but quite similar to Tsatas from that clip alone. I reckon we’d be better using our first pick on a different type in this draft.

I wonder if Essendon asked for this move

I mean he has also kicked 23.11 across 10 coates league games. Was selected CHF in the U18 AA team, taking the most constested marks (8).

So no, it’s not just a 3 game stretch.

But I am wanting Travaglia at our pick, and to trade our way to a second pick for Jobe or live trade in.
