Some top 8 club is going to get themselves an absolute bargain who will be a difference maker from day 1. Probably farking Norf… the bastads. Boomer Harvey replacement with better hands.
I like mcgrath
Has pace, very quick thinker, leader midfileder in and under
GWS are no fools
Currently the fastest 20m sprint time. Not going to slip that far if he keeps testing like that. Unless he’s a right proper ■■■■.

Probably would’ve liked to have done better in the goalkicking/skills tests, though. I think that, aside from his height, one of the knocks on him have been his inconsistency re set shots.
14.4 beep was much better than expected to go with 2.90 sec 20m sprint.
AOD backwards is DOA, like their babies.EFC asks that every combine. I remember Dodoro telling me it's to see their reaction as most other questions they've prepared for.We should ask them if AOD is legal.

Risque. Me likely.

Brett Anderson believes Brisbane are after Ben Ainsworth and will take him at two if they hold onto it. But it is also part of why they are keen to trade their pick for a later top ten pick and another pick in the teens as he will most likely still be there with the first of those two picks.
One of Fagan’s early wants is to bring in players who can apply frenetic forward line pressure and goal kicking smarts which was a massive part of the Hawthorn blueprint i.e. Rioli, Puopolo, Breust.
means gws must be confident of getting mcgrath with pick 3 and unlikely to trade it (should they get it)
assuming we will take clug at 1

If they get 3 and are still keen for our number 1 pick then McGrath must be our preference
Brisbane going down one pick means their targets are Ains and SPS.
Crap baskets.
Pretty clear he is going to Brisbane
Connors player goes to Brisbane.
Guess where he isn’t going to be in 3 years time.

I’d prefer him to go to Brisbane than to Carlton.
I couldn’t deal seeing him running around dominating and kicking goals out of his @rse for that mob. Brisbane I don’t mind. They’re off broadway. It’d hurt less haha.
If that sucking up is genuine then that’s a good sign for them lol. They need blokes that actually want to go there. And stay there more to the point.
Wouldn’t be surprised if GWS took him at 2. It’s what they lack. I’m not sold on McGrath being a lock for them if available. I think they’ll go first option McCluggage, second option Ainsworth.

Good chance. People assume that the stuff in the media about GWS wanting mcgrath is fact. It could be but I think just as much chance that it’s a smokescreen.
They may even rate a couple of players evenly and be happy to take either.

Yep, agree that he’d fit in pretty well up there. Both as a player and as a personality. They like to play a confident/cocky in your face style.
The Giants are chock full of elite out and out midfielders but can always do with clever goal kicking forwards. Especially seeing Stevie J is likely heading into his last season.
I suppose what I was getting at and what I deduce (rightly or wrongly) from the Brisbane-obsessed twitter activity is that they have told him if he is available at their selection they will take him.
