Likely to finish 8th - that presents a huge challenge. Current opposition in week one would be Footscray, but Port Melbourne, Geelong and Sandringham could all be opponents depending on this week’s results. (Footscray v Collingwood, Port Melbourne v Geelong and Werribee v Sandringham).
Let’s say we play Port Melbourne. That can happen should Geelong win this week.
Port Melbourne at Port Melbourne probably a Sunday elimination final.
Win that and we would play the loser of Collingwood v Geelong in the semi-final the following Sunday.
Preliminary Final would either be against Casey or Williamstown on the 3rd Sunday.
Then the grand final the Sunday after that at Etihad.
To win 5 straight games under that pressure would be daunting.
