Hope EFC can arrange, along with FkCarlton, to set the match for an 11.30 start…

Whats a bet it’s the 7 game and has to start at 12.30??

With the Olympics, there is set to be no matches on channel 7 until the finals.

Their page would disagree with you pazz …,

Please note, there is no VFL coverage during the Olympics during Rounds 18-20. Coverage will return Round 21, with game TBA.

… back on the 27th, with 3 games on the Saturday with a start time to suit their 3.00pm delayed telecast on Sat arvo’s. Our’s at 12, Rich v Cob at 12, Foot v Coll at 11.00 am.

Game against the Blues shapes as a finals play off.

Casey looked very good on the telly a couple of weeks ago, any VFL regs rate our chances?

Got it in one.
No early start it is.

Much better at home than away, though if Collignwood could beat them in the mud…

Averaging 95 points for at home and 103 points for away from home so will not be easy.

May get Round 21 against the Bluebaggers but that’s it

Article on Fox Sports this morning about the Cats 2002 flag being the best VFL lineup ever. Fark them, lets throw Francis, Laverde, Langford, Irish, Jerrett and anyone else we can muster in for the finals and we might be able to claim that honour in fifteen years.

GEELONG’S 2002 VFL PREMIERSHIP SIDE

B: Josh Hunt, Marc Woolnough, Daniel Foster

HB: Will Slade, Tim McGrath, Mitchell White

C: James Kelly, James Bartel, David Johnson

HF: Brent Grgic, David Mensch, Steve Johnson

F: Gary Ablett, Matthew McCarthy, Charlie Gardiner

Foll: Peter Street, James Rahilly, Paul Chapman

Int: Paul Chambers, Henry Playfair, Danny OBrien, Adam Chatfield

even if we threw Francis, Laverde, Langford, Irish, Jerrett in that Geelong VFL side would be hard to beat
multiple premiership & marque players

  • Kelly 290+ games
  • Bartel Brownlow medallist
  • SJ Norm Smith medallist (I think)
  • Chapman Norm Smith Medallist (I think)
  • Gary Ablett Brownlow medallist

Bartel norm smith medal too

  2. Williamstown 48

  3. Collingwood 48

  5. Coburg 20

  6. Frankston 8

  7. North Ballarat 8

Collingwood v Port Melbourne

Coburg v Frankston

Essendon v Williamstown

Casey v Werribee

Sandringham v Box Hill

Richmond v Geelong

North Ballarat, Northern Blues and Footscray have the bye.

Essendon’s percentage is worse than Box Hill and Richmond.

If there is one thing we can do to destroy Hawthorn’s premiership chances. That is keep Box Hill out of the VFL finals. They won’t be able to keep fringe players match fit in the VFL, and ready to come into the AFL side. It’ll be massive problem for them.

Our 92 reserves side would go close

Playing finals is incredibly important for the development of our young blokes. Finals footy, Plus getting more games into Francis, Eades, Gach Nyuen, Hams, Merrett, Long, Redman & McKenna.

Great win on the weekend.

I’d be very very disappointed if the boys didn’t make the finals from here.

How many games in a row to we have to win to get the VFL flag?
