After 30years you probably feel as though you have nothing to prove but I had a feeling this was part celebration, part rejuvenation, part consolidation as a really tight Aussie rock n roll band.
Was at this. Was ace. So were the supports. Bad/dreems rock out
My friend and I both commented that Bad Dreems sounded pretty good. ![]()
Just saw them again tonight, and their encore was this song!
Otoboke Beaver in Japan. One moment supporting Oasis or Foo Fighters in front of tens of thousands, the next moment in a small club in front of hometown fans.
I’m going to choose to believe their name is some sort of cute, furry animal rather than a eupehism for… well… you know…
It was the name of a love hotel the girls used to walk by when they were uni students and they thought it was great for a band name. So not the animal per se.
Yeah thats the goss. There’s something going on with Patton. It really is a shame, they were awesome live. One of my all time favourite bands.
I really want to get to some live gigs in Japan. I reckon it would be ace.
Need to time my next visit to coincide with some Guitar Wolf show…
Guitar Wolf suddenly announced a show with King Brothers the day before the above show I went to. I was spewing as I couldn’t swing two days out in a row.
Heading to see Turnstiles for the first time tonight.
Band I’ve just picked up on. Hoping it will be a good un.
off to see Mclusky tonight, thought it might be boiling but the cool change has just come through.
Still 41 deg here mate.
Turnstile were rad.
Insane compared to what I had expected.
How was it, Hambo?
Fucken intense. I stood about 3M from the band and they were supertight and loud. Great night, the missus loved it too. Have you noticed the lefty bass player plays an upside down Fender?
I’ve never been able to see them live. Has Falco got tinnitus these days? Looks like how Mission Of Burma set up.
Yes I believe it’s tinnutis. Note the earmuff headphone thingys he was sporting. They’re a great band but can be a bit samey but then I love it when a band has their own thing going on.
Falco is an interesting cat, rather fastidious and well prepared. You probably wouldn’t pick him in the street for the lead guy in a heavy rock band.
Saw Stuart Copeland talking about his very interesting life last night here in Perth. Lots of fun and laughter. He talked halfway through the intermission such was the volume of material with he had to work.
If you’re a muso, fan or enjoy a good raconteur he’s in Melbourne this week I believe.
And yes he pulled the pi$$ out of Stingo and Trudy…
Yep, on the tram home from the gig. Excellent night out. He is a raconteur of the highest order.
