The Cricket Thread (part 10) - from Feb 2025

where did you take this?

QLD 250 ahead now with 3 wickets in hand. Wildermuth(110) and Steketee (44) both approaching their highest ever FC scores.

Bulls 250 ahead now, 3 wickets in the shed still. Lead is getting into dangerous areas despite this pitch being batsmen friendly.

What a turn around

Glad I put the mozz on 'em! Wildermuth equalled his and Steketee fell short by 2 runs.

269 ahead now with one wocket left.

This one’s done. Might be a good thing I couldn’t get there today

With the form Carey is in, it’s not over yet.

Good call! Carey guiding them home with some good support from Sangaha. The long wait is almost over.

And Carey tons up

Carey and Lehmann gone.
15 to go

Drought broken babbbyyyyyy

The flow of that final was nuts.

So many momentum shifts. Well done SA… 4 tons in a final and 36 wickets is great for cricketing purists.

Edit: 5 tons!

If you had a thousand guesses on the innings scores on a Karen Rolton wicket you would not have even gotten anywhere near close.

Well done tor the SACAs. After being the relative easy beats for such a long they have had a very dominant season. Three test players across the summer was also a great effort.

Brendan Doggett with his eleven wickets an obvious and worthy Player Of The Match.

Victoria’s own Fergus O’Neill named as Player Of The Series. I look forward to seeing how his career progresses from here.

Carey in career best form, also Lehmanns had an impressive end to the season

They led the field all season and bowled out their opposition for 95 in the final. It would have been a travesty if Qld had won the title, after scraping in to the decider, on the back of two lower order partnerships.

I’m glad SA won, they deserved it.
