I wonder how long DC will persist with JFM. Another failure last night and he is in a hole that he can’t get out of. He dominated in the last IPL but can barely get it off the sqare now.

He ended up going for 1/35 off 3 so the other 2 overs must have been pretty good.

Yeah he did ok either side of that one big over. And in that 30 run over 5 of those were leg byes too.

Yep, any faith I had in him has now disappeared.

Australian cricket should let him go chase T20 money and give Mitch Owen their effort instead.

Can anyone explain the vagaries of CA’s contract system. Keen to know why Mitch Marsh got another go round.

His surname is Marsh.

He won the AB medal in 2024.

He was always getting another contract.

Picked up a lazy 8 wickets in his first county game

Was always gonna do bits over there. His bowling is perfect for English conditions. Get it up there, a bit of movement off the seam/in the air. He’s not express but he doesn’t have to be.

Is Darren Stevens still waddling in and taking 5 fa’s and blasting half centuries for fun over there?

Nah, he’s retired now. Had one of the great careers at County level when you look at his stats as an all-round package. Averaged 35 with the bat and a tick under 25 with the ball. I think he took up bowling quite late in his career. Not sure he was ever seriously considered for Test cricket. But still, what a career!

They have to take him to the WI for the T20s, surely. What have we got to lose?

Wonder what odds they got :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

What have the pitches been like in the IPL this year. Seems to be a lot of 200+ scores happening

The Bangladesh leagues are notorious for match fixing, it’s accepted and nobody will ever do anything about it

Bangladesh, formerly East Pakistan. Join the dots.

Ian Harvey was another I recall being pretty good over here, but then amazing in England (particularly in short form).

Keen to speak to Travs old man and find out what went on last night. Seems like Maxwell pinged the ball back and Trav took offence and then had a few words and the Stoinis came in to defend Maxwell and in the end the umps had to step in between Stoins and Trav and there looked to be a few expletives thrown around
Hope they all had a beer and a laugh afterwards

My usual morning check just to see… and yep… another duck. Carry on.

Yeah they tend to make most of them conducive to high scoring affairs. The bowlers are glorified bowling machines at a couple of venues in particular.
