It’s just the 3rd time SA have successfully chased 350+ and just the 2nd time India have failed to defend 350+.
Please don’t remind Mick Lewis of the time South Africa first chased down 350+ to win an ODI.
Ummm

Playing a shield game should be enough to see Marsh back in for the Adelaide test. ![]()
Is my memory failing me, or did Mick Lewis ton-up in that game?
Well bowled!..
The bloke that conceded 115 got 2 poles at least
I wish I could remember the context of his bowling.
On face value it’s hard to believe he was bowled-out with figures like that.
Did he bowl economically in his first 6, then get carted?
Did we have injuries and were short of other options?
Were the other bowlers equally bad (Stuart Clark’s figures above aren’t completely hopeless by comparison)?
He was seen as the nominated “death bowler” so even though he probably copped a pasting in earlier spells he was brought back to do the things hr allegedly specialised in.
They must have been playing with a tennis ball on asphalt in a suburban backyard-sized ground.
So the story goes, Gibbs and Kallis had a discussion after Australia’s innings and concluded they thought we were 10-15 runs short of par…
The game was in Joburg. It was the first time we ever scored 400 in an ODI. I went to bed thinking there is no way we can lose this game. Oh boy how wrong was that call.
He was the sort of bowler who, when defending a big score, would just try to bowl as fast as he could, ignoring accuracy.
I thought Brett Lee was much the same.
He was. But he could also sing hindi.
SEN going with Neser in for the Lyon. Presumably gleaned from warm ups.
Who won the toss? Who’s kicking off?
Toss in 30mins
Surely we play Lyon. He bowled 50 overs in the last Pink Ball test at the Gabba
