What? Not Oliver Davies?

Seems to be a push for Slug Webster to play in Adelaide as cover for Pat who might be on restricted overs. Slug would come in for Inglis. Boland rested for Melbourne.

Here is a team being thrown around in the HS (amongst others).

He must be considering the T20 circuit now. If his body can stand up to bowling 4 overs.

So is McDonald telling fibs as he said Boland would not be rested?

Apparently they are considering Khawaja to bat in the middle order.

I reckon it’s on the cards for Archer too. Travel the world making a motza for minimum effort. I really don’t think his heart’s truly in test cricket.

Sounds like all options are on the table. Including potentially Uzi coming in. Ronny keeping the Poms guessing I think. They were very strategic with Nesser selection.

They’ve been listening to me.
That bats deep, with a bloke who just made 70 batting at 10.

I don’t understand bringing Lyon and Webster in, though. Just like I didn’t understand not playing either of Lyon or Webster last Test.
And I’m sure I saw they’d ruled out dropping Boland, so the batterthon will have to wait, I guess.

It’s also highly unusual that he wears a wristwatch on the field, even when batting and bowling.

This has to be cricket journos just trolling the public.

Uz returning to open would be a bad call, Uz back to slide into the middle order would be a total pisstake. Can’t possibly happen.

And bringing Webster in to cover Cummins on restricted duties is also poor. It’s an ashes test, you don’t get to east back into it.

Cummins - if on restricted overs - shouldn’t be playing tbh. Not on a deck that is likely to be a good batting wicket.

In fact, maybe shouldn’t come in cold at all. Send him off to play a shield game or two .

Oh wait… Ffs.

It doesn’t look like happening but I’d like to see Renshaw given another crack. At 29 he could play on for a while.

It’s pretty simple for me. If they want Trav to move back into the middle order, then pick Renshaw ( I want Kellaway to get a chance but Renshaw probably deserves first crack overall) . If Trav stays at the top of the order , then take the same top 7 as Brisbane ( or switch out Inglis for McSweeney and bat Carey at 7 again. Actually, I like the idea of McSweeney at 6. Genuine middle order batsman).
