Won’t happen as scheduled won’t allow it every year
The ground at Mackay has been used this year for an ODI while Townsville hasn’t hosted an international game since 2022. So it would seem Mackay is the current favoured location. It does look like there has been a significant investment into the facilities at Mackay.
What are the other drawing factors at the end of Feb?
T20 World Cup next year is Feb/March then in 2027 we are playing 5 tests in India Feb/March for starters
Would be best to have that in early January instead of the Sydney test that gets rained out.
Not sure the AFL would be allowing a drop in wicket at Marvel in late Feb early March on the eve of the season.
Who knows wtf they will do. Head at 5 or 6 is preferable, but we don’t have another opener apart from Khawaja, and it’s time to move past him.
You also need stock bowlers at Adelaide, that can bowl tight for long periods when it aint doing much, and to keep Starc and Cummins (back from injury) from overbowling.
Weatherald
Head
Labuschagne
Smith
Green
Cummins
Carey
Neser
Starc
Boland
Lyon
I’d love to argue against all of these negative Nellie’s.
But I can’t find a men’s international schedule for 2026 anywhere.
That’s freaking weird.
see this pdf, from ICC
I just got Rickrolled.
Smith was pretty clear that, structurally, Neser was in Lyon’s role, just the pink ball version (plus batting). I think it’s pretty clear that it will be Lyon in for Neser. There seemed to be a question about whether they would rest Boland but I thought MacDonald said they won’t do that. And Cummins for Doggett takes care of the depth of batting. So I’m guessing it’s Neser to go out despite the Michelle.
I don’t think it’s entirely accurate but it’s close
Completely and uttterly stupid. If the selectors do that they are arrogant fools. Uzi is fat cooked and a very poor fielder. Uzi can hardly touch his toes let alone effect the kind of runout that Inglis managed in the second test.
Monumentally stupid if that’s the case. Who drops selectors when they don’t perform.
Khawaja coming in for Inglis would be prime time viewing in this thread
What??? Of course they would and have done stuff like that before.
The only issue they would worry about is how much $$$ is in it for them.
Fair effort to still get back up and hurl the throw in
tell me about it
Saw some comments from Carey that he doesn’t practice standing up to pace in nets or otherwise, because of the danger. Just does his standard drills and pulls out the standing up card on instinct in the game. Amazing.
Also saw some side on vision of his takes - he stays incredibly still and balanced - and unrushed.
