I don’t enjoy any T20 leagues, although do watch Australia play.
But struggling to find any interest at all in 50 over cricket. It just seems pointless. Dull, dreary, slow and only interesting during final over or 2 if result can go either way.
50 over cricket needs to be shelved with more focus on Test cricket with one short form version only.

Ripped out the NZ top order with 4-11 so maybe not that surprising albeit on a dodgy pitch.
3 wickets from his first over. He got a bit lucky though, imo. Two were “umpires call”.
All that history though. It would be a shame.
The last WC was amazing. Watching Travis Head take apart the Kiwis and Maxwell on one leg performing miracles was cricket as good as it gets.

yeh that was awesome. are all the tedious matches worth playing for the minimal highlights? I’m not sure. I don’t mind if we look back on history and see that 50 over cricket was replaced by Lollipop Bash.
4/10 in 6 overs including 3 wickets in his first over isn’t too shabby
He may be c******t but he’s a very good bowler (when fit)

The standard of Test batting is regressing at a rapid rate. Another Test where bulk wickets fall on the first day. That’s not a 16/200 pitch.

33 wickets in 2 days. I wonder if the Lord’s wicket will get the same sort of criticism as the MCG pitch? Admittedly this Test will go into a 3rd day, but still look at Bethell’s dismissal in the 2nd innings, got one that rolled on the 2nd day. Sub-standard. Also been some poor batting to boot notwithstanding…
