Gutted. Was hoping McCullum would stay. He still will coach their ODI/T20 teams, its only the Test program he’s been relieved from. Having said that this is the beginning of the end for him IMO. I highly doubt that after having your role diminish will you stay on beyond your current contract…
Bazball was a good concept, but you need more. Often they only needed to buckle down for half a session then return to bazball but they would never do that.

Langer is probably the type of coach they need. Mostly because if he’s coaching England, he won’t be able to commentate during the Australian test summer.

Locker rooms in Aussie women’s sport are certainly a different dynamic. Plenty of similar instances within the Matildas over the years too.
Can’t really imagine Jessica Davies (Head) fuming and throwing all of Trav’s possessions down to the curb because she found out he’s been macking on with Mitch Marsh.
But then again Zamps and Stoin are close

From what I gather, the Aussie women’s team isn’t as beset with that issue as England and South Africa.
I remember when I was president of our club (late 70s), I went to the women’s presentation night. And were the eyes opened! About 8 blokes there and all the girls dancing with each other. As discussed with a group of my old schoolmates (from a CBC school) in the period 1962-1970, we just wouldn’t have recognised it (or the male version).
