Trouble is there is no real money in moving states. You really only do it to better your chances of representing Australia.
SA collapse to be all out 206
Agar 5/64 doing all the damage.
Inglis still sounds like a pom lol
Itâs a bit like the WA team of the 70-80s.
Lillie, (Rod) Marsh, Alderman, Edwards, Brayshaw, Invererity, McKenzie, Yardley the list goes on.
They were such a tough team to play against.
South Africa in control against the Windies 1/150. Markram on 70*
The Wanderers is HEAVING too
At least 100 there!
Hereâs a question, India love Cricket and yet their stadiums are barely half full when we go there, sometimes not even quarter full when these tests are on? Whatâs going on?
They sell tickets as a 5 day package for most stadiums.
I heard itâll be packed tomorrow, but apprently a quarter of the stadium will be filled with âVIPâsâ which will empty after the first hour. I read there might be a bizarre scenario where the batters will look up and see a bulk of the crowd leaving. Oh and Albanese and the Indian PM will watch their first hour live at the ground and leave too
Doesnât really explain why a large portion of these stadiums are empty.
I reckon you are under estimating him. Rod Marsh looked woeful at the start, remember âiron Glovesâ but had a stellar career, and Adam Gilchrist was a fine batsman but he really improved his glove work. I reckon Carey is doing very well.
Yeah, nah, I agree with the sentiment in your question. It is strange for a country that is obsessed with the game that itâs not consistently packed out. Even factoring in the 5 day pass ticketing situation.
Yep. I mentioned this at the start of the series.
Thatâs what happens if you wanted to go Day 2 and couldnât go any other day, yet youâre forced to buy for the other days. Your seat ends up empty
Even the 5 day pass thing, does it cost that much? Surely in the âsoon to be biggest populationâ country they can muster more than half a full stadium? The third test looked like it had a bigger crowd granted but those first few tests in particular looked two thirds empty
indians are the biggest money grubs in the world, any tradie will tell you that. not suprised they have a â5 day ticket policyâ
Yep, the tests have been near on sellouts but seats are vacant if the ticket holder canât attend every day
I see, why do they sell for 5 days?
And letâs be honest, the way the pitches are over there itâs a 3 day pass at best rather than 5!
