Let’s be really honest here. After the dumb ■■■■ walked out of his crease while the ball was still in play, he ain’t got the brains to do what Carey did anyway.
Batsmen shouldn’t be walking out of their crease before the ball reaches the Keepers hands.
Carey had been observing that Bairstow presumed the ball to be dead for a few balls before the dismissal. Like with Mankadding, I’d prefer Carey to have warned Bairstow first. It’s not a particularly “noble” way of taking a wicket.
Duckett should’ve walked, too.
As pointed out, such attempted stumpings happen in every (short form) game of cricket.
It is curious it took this long, as we’ve spent 10 days seeing people batting a metre out of their crease.
Its ok England. You know you won. Thats what’s important.
The revenge of fu manchu! Now how do i sleep?
It’s no different to the quick flicks back at the stumps by the in close fielders trying to catch the batsman off guard. Happens every innings.
If he missed the wickets and it went for four would they call it back?
England coaching staff should have plenty of experience to share with Bairstow. Head coach Baz throws down batting coach Paul Collingwood’s stumps

Pretty much identical.
And reviled all these years later
Well after a pretty crappy Saturday night, the cricket and the VFL win have made this weekend a bit better!
Til next time.
Fark Carlton.
Fark England.
I wonder if that is the same Brendan McCullum who just said he wouldn’t be drinking with the Aussies any time soon because of it. Hypocrite of the highest ■■■■■■■ order. Makes me even happier if it ■■■■■■ that ■■■■ off as well as the rest of Jolly Old England, hoora pip pip and tallyho.
