Goodnight!

Well done Aussies. It was a struggle but they got there. Just shows how hard it is to chase in these conditions.

Who ever would have thought South Africa would lose a tight semi final in a World Cup

No pressure on the home team to win

And by dropping some pretty important catches.

Let’s be honest, we are probably the only team could possibly steal the final off India, but they should win by the length of the Flemington straight.

12 wides and a couple of no balls were handy as well

Coetzee is a good competitor. I’ll enjoy watching him in the future against us.

SA shouldn’t have made 200. Zampa was given too many overs. We should have won by more. Well done Starc and Cummins for steadying the ship, but it should never have been that close.

Tell ya what, all the pressure on India now. Hoping we can give them a bit of a scare. We’d have to play the perfect match or hope India chokes in order to win tbough.

Exceeded my expectations!

Fantastic result. Didn’t stay up as I’m off to work early so just scanned the scorecards. I didn’t really think we’d make the semi finals, let alone the big match. And we got nothing from Marsh or Maxwell last night in terms of runs.

Cummins often plays critical innings for us with the bat. It’s a bit weird, I feel he’s never quite made the most of his batting ability, but he’s also a bit overlooked imo. Which is a strange mix.

I don’t think we’re overly likely to win a high scoring final against India , though with Maxy who knows what we’re capable of, so we really need to bowl well again, especially early. The pitch they serve up will be interesting.

Whatever happens, England and Joe must be enjoying their moral and talent superiority. Wherever the hell they are.

So it’s India v England in the final, right. Both teams 10-0.

Resting after the Ashes. They would have done much better at this WC had it not been an Ashes year, apparently.

I was right in my assumption that he was struck outside the line, even if only by a bare margin.

I was also right in my assumption that horrible reverse sweep from Marnus looked dead in front and frankly I don’t believe that projection that had it just shaving the leg stump.

Never doubt big ■■■■ Kettleborough!
