The Cricket Thread (part 9) - from Dec 2024

Yeah-nah, they’ve done very well.
Shown grit.
Got the job done.

That would be my guess

I’m very much anti-woke, but I love what the man does with a cricket ball

Same goes for Smudge, he does seem to be a very very strange cat but the man can cricket

Wouldn’t Cummins be more hated because he is woke??

From hospital?

Potentially true but it seems that wokeness lends some kind of protection

We’re not allowed to go after the woke

You are both very bad jokes.

Shirley you’re not referring to the Symonds crash… and yes I know the dog act Sachin did during monkey gate.

So is Cummins hated because he is woke or is he given leeway because he is woke??

What is going on??

I absolutely am.
If you think Tendulkar flat out lying about what happened to Symonds on the world stage had no effect on his mental state, then…okay.

It goes to preparation and fitness - the calf is a reoccurrence of an injury earlier this year

Andrew Symonds didn’t commit suicide. WTF are you on about??

He died in a car crash.

Absolutely agree. Get some runs into Uzi, Marn and Marsh……however if they all fail then the pressure ramps up

Not true.

They need to prepare the team and ensure they’re fit to play. Hazelwood had a calf injury earlier this year and came home from the UK. It’s a reoccurrence of that injury reported on the radio

The medicos would have declared him fit so how is this the selectors fault?

What?

Pretty sure it is. Scored 35 in an over apparently

If he’d done his side I’d agree picking him was a bad call but honestly ‘earlier in the year’? As though no AFL player ever does a soft tissue twice… Calf tweak in an ageing fast bowler. It’s unfortunate but it’s part of the game.

Yes.
It was a terrible one car accident.

The first 10 runs were sundries and not credited to him… it’s the highest score in an over and he was facing. But he didn’t score 10 of them.

That’s one hell of an assumption

Even more so to lay it at Sachin’s feet
