The Dog Thread

@Bacchusfox - definitely a fighter. RIP big dog. Beautiful photo.

Sad to hear this bacchus. Lost a Lab last year too. He looks like a such a good boy.

I feel like this thread needs something like this …

I’ll be joining this thread next week. BC puppy on the way. Pretty excited for my wife who’s always wanted one.

The ghost of my dog who died two years ago still settles on the bed at night, brings back happy memories after the pain of losing her.
Sad times for you now though.

Indeed. RIP Marshall.

I don’t believe in heaven, but if I’m wrong, it can only be a huge green meadow where every dog youve ever owned is waiting to greet you.

Vale Marshall, the blitz dog.

They are not with us for as long as we would like but the impact they have on us and the unconditional love they give to us is more than we could imagine.

So sorry for your loss @Bacchusfox .
Even knowing it is inevitable doesn’t help.
The pure love only a dog can give always leaves a unfillable void when they go

Sorry for your loss @Bacchusfox. Cherish all those wonderful memories.

Oh hell, I’m really sorry @Mex and @Bacchusfox. Losing them is so hard. Sad day in this thread :frowning:

Took my new girl for a bit of an endurance trial today, trying to work out exactly what I needed to do to wear her out. The answer is apparently 15km of walking…

She’s only moved for the past 5 hours to get dinner…

I have a theory about the purpose of the breeding of Pekingese. They look like they were bred to resemble the Chinese interpretation of a dragon/lion.

About 10 years some Chinese millionaire paid $1m US for a Tibetan Mastiff. That started a bit of a rush on the breed, until people realized what was involved in taking care of such a huge dog. Many were then resold cheap, or probably ended up in the dog meat trade.

Wouldn’t be the first time the Chinese have tried to turn a dog into a lion

But not the running dogs of US capitalism - a breed apart

One of these Chow Chows used to get around the streets in Zhuhai near my apartment. In summer the owners shaved it except for the neck and head, so it looked like a lion.

Apparently the most dangerous dog in the world. True Fact.

I believe you will find that all facts are true.

I have provided many facts that are not true.
