Am a fan of the sausage dog
Fair enough. I added a couple more sentences to my reply above, btw.
What about pet insurance if they need an operation how much will they cover? was pretty fortunate that Milo didnât need any surgery during her life just vet visits
Talk to your local vet about that.
Green Cross Vets have a nationwide scheme which costs about $50 a month and covers pretty much everything.
There prices arenât too bad and they are local thanks.
I agree with Perce. By all means get another dog. I recommend getting a rescue dog from a shelter.
But be prepared to have to deal with the bad habits it may have developed alreadyâŚ
I inherited a Pomeranian/Jack Russell cross 3 years ago. She grew up indoors and was left on her own from 7 - 7 every day. As a result she didnât really like other dogs, and is nervous when she hears loud noises. I have slowly trained her to the point where she now doesnât mind other dogs. Just like people, some dogs can have bad habits, but they can be rectified with training, unlike some people.
Milo was a bit like that
Hachi: A Dogâs Tale with Richard Gere.
That is that saddest dog movie ever every time i watch it I cry. I have it right next to Marley and Me
As @Captain_Jack said maybe consider a rescue. Even just go down to the local rescue place and at least have a look and see if you connect with any of them.
Have a watch of Old Yeller then. It was made by Disney in the 1950s and was the first movie that made many people cry over the ending including me when l was about 8.
Never watched it but know the movie
In addition to the excellent advice already given, its also really important to ask yourself âAm I ready?â
I think it will be some time next year if i were to get another dog.
Shame on you guys for NOT mentioning âTurner & Hoochâ as an emotional dog movie ![]()
